My name is Treasa Harkin and I work for the Irish Traditional Music Archive in Dublin, where I hold responsibility for our photograpic material. We have in our collection a number of photographs from the unveiling of the statue to Chief O’Neill in Tralibane in 2000, which look like official photographs from the day. As such, I am writing to yourselves for permission to use one of the photographs on our website (www.itma.ie). I am currently working on a gallery of flute-related images and I would like to include a photograph of the Garda Commissioner with various flute players taken beside the statue.
I would appreciate if you could let me know as soon as possible whether this would be acceptable.

My name is Ronan O’Driscoll and I am very interested in the history of Francis O’Neill. I am currently visiting the Cork area and was hoping to visit Tralibane. I can’t find much on google maps however. I was wondering if you could give me a few pointers on where to see.
Francis was reputedly my grandfather’s uncle, and I want to verify this. Francis and wife visited Ireland about 1906, and I’m hoping Irish or U.S. newspapers captured details of people and places they visited in 1906–particularly anyone in Ireland described as a relative.
Do you have any info on Irish folks (other than his parents and siblings) to whom he was related?
